Maintain a balanced diet alongside regular exercise
Eating a balanced diet and drinking enough water can be a good way to keep yourself fit and energetic. Studying can encourage bad eating habits, so do not eat to beat stress or use caffeinated or energy drinks to artificially sustain your concentration.
The British Nutrition Foundation advises the following tips:
- Eat regular meals three times a day
- Try a rich and varied diet with 5 prtions of fruit and veg everyday
- Snack sensibly (e.g. fresh fruit, nuts and seeds)
- Limit yur intake of fast food to as little as possible
- Drink plenty of fluids
Regular exercise has shown to have numerous benefits to our wellbeing, some of these include:
- Getting a better night’s sleep
- Reducing stress
- Mood regulation
- Maintenance of a healthy weight
Types of exercise can include Yoga, walking, running, weights, body weight exercises (squats, press ups, jump jacks, burpees).
