Our first health and wellbeing fair is a huge success
We held our very first health and wellbeing fair in college on Wednesday 30 November. The aim of the event was to give every single year 10 and 11 student the opportunity to meet and chat with a wide range of different health and wellbeing support agencies; some of whom the students may not have been aware even existed.
The KS4 students visited a wide range of informative stalls and professionals, accessing information and advice on topics including accessing the school nurse, cancer, smoking cessation, drug and alcohol, physical wellbeing, diet and healthy eating, primary mental health, LGBT, sexual health, teen parenting, domestic violence, FGM and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
A huge thank you to all professionals involved. Students found the opportunity to meet and chat informally extremely valuable.
