Year 9 Top Maths Ability Club
In order to further stretch our top end students , a fortnightly Maths Top Ability Club has been set up by Mrs Adeniyan on Thursday lunchtime.
This club aims to stretch students' maths understanding by exposing them to a variety of problem solving questions and even GCSE Exam style questions. This will give students the opportunity to love maths even more, set them above the rest and also ensure that come Year 11, they secure a top grade in their Maths GCSE.
This club will run lunch times in Room 126 on Thursdays fortnightly starting 26th September 2019. Students will get to tackle maths problems that will deepen their understanding , enhance their reasoning and enable them make even better progress in lessons.
Chosen students will also be given certificates as they pass through every threshold with opportunities of getting prizes sometime during the Year. They will also have opportunities to participate in external maths competitions when the opportunity arises.
This is set to encourage students to pursue their love/interest for Maths in a calm atmosphere so watch this space.
