In Form time, students have been exploring key figures who have influenced black culture, as well as some students participating in the after-school screening of the film 'The Hate U Give'. The film focusses on an African American teenager, facing pressures from various communities, while trying to stand up for what is right. Students have also been delving into this year's Black History Month writing competition, based on the theme of 'Journeys'. This has provided students with a fantastic opportunity to explore and embrace their personal identity. It has been a wonderful month, celebrating and promoting black contributions to British society as well as a great occasion for students to gain a better understanding of one another.
