It is our policy that all students wear the college uniform when attending college, representing the college, or when participating in a college organised event outside normal college hours.  Wearing uniform fosters a sense of community and belonging, promotes a sense of pride in the college and makes students feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance.

Fullhurst Community College uniform 

All items of our compulsory uniform listed below (including our PE kit) can be bought at a supermarket apart from our tie and badge. Our ties cost £4.00 and blazer badges cost 50p which can both be bought from the school or from Uniforms Direct. 

Fosse Campus:

Compulsory

• Black tailored trousers (not jeans, leggings or fashion items) or a knee-length black skirt.
• Black footwear 
• White shirt or blouse with collar - must button to the neck
• Branded College tie*
• Black blazer with college badge*

• Plain black jumper/sweater (to be worn under the blazer when it is cold - no logos or designs)

• Plain headscarves or caps worn for religious or cultural reasons are permitted
• Jewellery, if worn, should be discreet and must be removed for PE, and some technology classes for safety reasons

Imperial Campus:

Compulsory

• Black tailored trousers (not jeans, leggings or fashion items) or a knee-length black skirt.
• Black footwear

Not Permitted

• Extremes of fashion and makeup, are not permitted
• Hooded tops are not permitted in school

PE kit

• Black T-shirt (black logo polo shirt is provided by the school at the beginning of Year 7)
• Black shorts or tracksuit bottoms (no leggings, no hoodies)
• Suitable footwear (trainers with non-marking soles indoors)
• Gum shield and shin pads

* College ties and blazer badges are available from the reception.

Equipment

• All students are expected to be prepared for learning with a suitable bag to carry their books and containing basic equipment (pen, pencil, ruler, etc)

Mobile phones

• Please note that mobile phones will be confiscated if seen during the school day.
• Please leave phones at home in emergencies, your child can be contacted via the college office on 0116 282 4326. 

How do we make Fullhurst uniform and equipment affordable?

• All Year 7 students are given a PE top at the start of the year which if looked after can last for a number of years. 
• We don't ask parents to buy multiple sports shoes for PE. Students can wear trainers for all sporting activities.
