Assessment
How we report on progress
At Fullhurst we have very high expectations and aspirations for students in terms of the progress they make with their learning. In each of your child's subjects, teachers will be assessing how well your child is doing and feeding back to them what they need to do to improve. Teachers use this assessment data to monitor that students are ‘on track’ to reach their potential in each subject.
In KS3 we will report home to parents three times per year . Within these reports we will outline the % your child achieved in their latest skills and recall assessments in each of their subjects, which will be compared to the class average % for both of these assessments.
Key Stage 3 assessment
In KS3, our curriculum and assessment model is broken down into three, 12 week cycles. Students will have both a skills and recall assessment at some point in the 3 week assessment weeks, for each subject. ‘RR’ at Fullhurst means to Reteach and Reassess, so students can work on the feedback given to them following each assessment. Have a look at the video below for more information on the KS3 Assessments.
Key Stage 4 assessment
In KS4, all students will sit Pre-Public Exams (PPEs) and we report home twice a year in KS4. Years 10 and 11 have one week of these exams during the year. Students sit PPEs in exam conditions; results are then published to students and parents via the Fullhurst app.
